Following Christmas day and still in the holiday spirit I went out to enjoy a wonderful night at Brewsky’s Sports-Bar by invitation from a friend and musician Dennis Daugherty. The 28th of December was the last day in 2012 that I actually shot some band photographs and after reviewing the photos I was proud that it was of this very talented music band called Avaricious. I have lived in Omaha, Nebraska since December of 2009 and 2012 was the first year I experienced any great rock live bands that I really enjoyed. Prior I never attended any major rock events, but listening to the local sounds of Omaha I have become more of a fan of the genre because of the live sound preferably.

The band formed in January of 2010 is going strong and looks to continue to perform music for the pure enjoyment of it. Some of the places around Omaha that the band have performed include the Arena, Prestige, Gator O’Malley’s, Horseshoe Casino, Slowdown, the Cox Classic, Brewsky’s and many more of the hot spots around Omaha, Nebraska. Below is a list of the band members and roster from the 2012 roster entering 2013.

Their website stated that “back when Avaricious was trying to come up with a “cool” name for the band we had to ask ourselves… “What are we all about?” The answer – We Want It All Baby! We got one foot in the Atlantic, one in the Pacific and we want everything in between! Hence the name AVARICIOUS. The band completely formed back in January of 2010 and no one’s been able to stop us yet! We are a fairly newborn band with an adult attitude and we had a great time jammin’ in the Omaha music scene in 2011!! Rock on with ya bad self!”
